Lüneburg/Glasgow. The close partnership between Leuphana University Lüneburg and the University of Glasgow, which is also reflected in their joint research institution – the European Centre for Advanced Studies (ECAS) – will be extended by a further joint study format from September 2022:

For the first time, Leuphana University Lüneburg and the University of Glasgow will offer double degree programmes for students in the Bachelor’s programme “International Business Administration & Entrepreneurship (IBAE)” from the coming winter semester. Selected Master’s students from the Master’s programmes “Management & Data Science”, “Management & Entrepreneurship” and “Management & Sustainable Accounting and Finance” will also have the opportunity to take a double degree.

The cooperation aims to realise study programmes that enable an academically in-depth examination of management topics. Thus, students can acquire advanced knowledge and skills and complete an international degree programme with integrated semesters abroad in the field of Business and Management Studies in Glasgow.

Prof. Dr. Matthias Wenzel, Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Management & Technology at Leuphana, welcomes the new cooperation. According to him, the joint degree with Glasgow will provide students with intercultural competences and help them become change-makers for the 21st century. Leuphana‘s President Sasha Spoun is also particularly pleased about the start of the programme, considering the University of Glasgow an excellent partner for the qualification of Leuphana‘s students.
