Studienprogramme
Differences in education across regions can provide students with unique opportunities in broadening their understanding of the a given subject and, ultimately, of the world. This is why ECAS is committed to strengthening the educational ties between its partners on all levels of study, from undergraduate programmes to PhD programmes.
Several stakeholders of both universities are working together with ECAS to deepen the ties between the two institutions. One result of this are the joint programmes between the University of Glasgow and Leuphana University of Lüneburg. They are not administered by ECAS directly, but are an important pillar of the cooperation between the two partners. Despite from that, ECAS also aims to provide information about other joint study programmes run by Lower Saxonian and Scottish higher education institutions.
“[T]he structure and organisation of education across Europe is, in many respects, profoundly local, reflecting, as it does, the particular history and evolution of the social, cultural and political concerns that give rise to particular grounded practices.” (James Conroy, p.389)
