Vacancy Notice: Communication & Social Media  

We are looking for a Student or Graduate Assistant (20 hours/month) starting 15 April 2026. In this role, you will support our team in building and shaping ECAS as a successful cooperation hub for academic exchange between Lower Saxonian and Scottish higher education institutions by maintaining and further developing its online presence. 

Your Profile 

  • Registered student at Leuphana University Lüneburg or another Lower Saxonian university 
  • Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a team 
  • Experience with social media platforms, in particular Instagram, LinkedIn, and BlueSky 
  • Experience in creating templates and visual content using Canva and a good sense for design and visual communication 
  • Knowledge of WordPress and experience with Elementor is a plus, but not required 
  • Interest in event organisation and event communication/promotion 
  • Excellent written and very good spoken English skills 
  • High level of personal initiative and reliability 
  • Strong organisational and social skills 
  • Sensitivity towards copyright and data protection requirements, especially in the context of social media ad website management 

Your Tasks 

  • Maintaining and updating ECAS’ social media channels (and website) 
  • Creating and adapting visual templates and content for digital communication 
  • Supporting the communication and promotion of events, flagship initiatives, key topics, conferences, and other ECAS projects 
  • Monitoring ECAS’ social media presence and website identifying opportunities for interaction with other relevant channels and further improvement
