Jens Bosse

Prof. Dr. Jens Bosse is an Associate Professor for Quantitative Virology, RESIST Cluster of Excellence Hannover Medical School (MHH) at Centre for Structural Systems Biology (CSSB). His research focuses on deciphering the rules that govern the dynamic assembly of viruses in their native cellular environment. Using cutting edge imaging and artificial intelligence tools, Prof Bosse can define where, when and how viruses assemble at single-particle precision. Using this knowledge, he aims to identify potential bottlenecks in viral productivity as specific pharmacological target structures. Prof Bosse has been involved in the HAGIS (Hannover-Glasgow Infection Strategy) initiative.
