Dr Christian Calvillo is Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Energy Policy, University of Strathclyde, where he works on a range of collaborative projects in energy transition, industrial decarbonisation, and low carbon heat and transport. In his research, he focuses on energy system modeling, decarbonisation scenario analysis, and policies supporting net zero, with particular expertise in hydrogen, fuel poverty, and jobs and skills for net zero. His main interest is in exploring how integrated energy solutions and international collaboration can accelerate decarbonisation while addressing socio-economic challenges. Dr Calvillo’s work draws on a strong international background, having completed his PhD as part of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate in Sustainable Energy Technologies and Strategies, with research networks spanning Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
