Angela Lucas-Herald is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Child Health at the University of Glasgow and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. She studied at the University of Edinburgh and then progressed through the clinical academic training pathways in paediatrics in the West of Scotland. She has been awarded multiple prestigious prizes, including the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) Young Investigator Award in 2022. She is the current chair of the ESPE Working Group for Differences of Sex Development and is on the Learning and Teaching Committee for the International Registries for Rare Conditions Affecting Sex Development and Maturation (sdmregistries.org). Her research focus in in the long-term outcomes for children with conditions associated with hypogonadism, with a particular focus on early vascular ageing.
