Advisory Bodies

To support and guide the strategic development of ECAS, a dedicated governance structure of advisory bodies has been established. A Steering Committee ensures that the interests of all higher education institutions in Lower Saxony are equally represented and that the objectives of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Lower Saxonian State Rectors’ Conference (LHK) and Universities Scotland are effectively implemented. It brings together representatives of the LHK and the Academic Director of ECAS to provide strategic guidance and thematic impulses for academic cooperation between Lower Saxony and Scotland.

 

An Advisory Board complements this structure by integrating perspectives from key funding bodies and international partners. Acting in a consultative capacity, it supports the Steering Committee in the strategic advancement of ECAS, contributes to alignment with existing funding landscapes, and reflects the cooperation from a broader science and research policy perspective.
