Professor Andrea Dorothea Bührmann is Vice President for Studying, Learning and Equal Opportunities of the University of Göttingen as well as the director of the diversity research institute.
Among a variety of other positions, Professor Buehrmann currently serves as a member of the “Standing Commission on Learning and Studying” of the Lower Saxony Rectors Conference (LHK), as well as one of the founding committee members of the academic network “A Strong Voice for Studying and Learning” at the German Rectors Conference (HRK). In addition, Professor Bührmann is chair of the thematic peer group “Approaches in learning and teaching to promoting equity and inclusion” at the European University Association (EUA), Brussels and a member of the supervisory board of the “European Center for Constitutional and Human rights” (ECCHR). Her research explores various aspects of the sociology of diversity and of knowledge, including aspects of digitization.
