Axel Kramer is retired professor, but still still working as consultant at the Institute of Hygiene and Environmental Medicine of the University Medicine Greifswald, Germany. His research focuses on control of healthcare associated infections, hand hygiene, antisepsis and implementation of possibilities for sustainable development in the field of hospital hygiene. As editor in chief of the Journal GMS Hygiene and Infection Control he promotes articles on sustainable development through new hygienic solutions.
