The European Union has launched an EU citizen’s initiative: the Conference on the Future of Europe. Until Spring 2022, interested EU citizens are invited to utter their views on EU policies and actively contribute to the further development of the EU.

“The Conference on the Future of Europe is nothing without you and your involvement on this platform. The future is in your hands. Make your voice heard.“ [1]

The Ministry of Federal and European Affairs and Regional Development in Lower Saxony is funding a workshop for students from Leuphana University of Lüneburg (Leuphana) as part of the Conference on the Future of Europe. The workshop is organized by the European Centre for Advanced Studies (ECAS) in cooperation with Leuphana and the University of Glasgow. Students will jointly work together and develop their own ideas for the future of Europe.

In the first part of the workshop (also open to the public), we offer insightful impulse keynotes to better understand the European Green Deal, as well as an inspiring environment for students to collectively develop views and ideas on EU law, climate change, sustainability and more.

The workshop “A Green Deal for the Future of Europe” will take place on Friday, 14 January 2022, at 1 pm as an online event (via Zoom). For more information, please visit the conference website.

We look forward to meeting you at the workshop!
